Drew Ballesteros is a long-time member of the Majority Strategies family and returns to our team after having served as a Regional Field Director for the Republican Party of Virginia.
Nowadays you can find this Strategy Director and Columbus, Georgia, native catching NASCAR races, watching his favorite TV shows and looking for his next best friend – a French bulldog.
Let’s get to know Drew in this week’s #MeetMajority.
The toughest lesson you’ve learned?
Working towards a goal you are passionate about doesn’t always mean it’s going to be a success. Work with passion and enthusiasm, but always keep a realistic mindset of the end result.
What app can’t you live without?
Twitter, it’s the best platform to stay up to date on NASCAR.
Favorite eats from your home state?
I am a major lover of Country’s Barbeque. Some people won’t like it, but everyone that visits Columbus, Georgia, should go grab a bit at Country’s.
What’s your favorite time of day? When are you most productive?
It’s hard to get ahead during the day as a Strategy Director, so nighttime is when I’m most productive when it comes to making headway on new projects.
Name one of your “weird” hobbies or habits.
Haven’t quite had the time to jump back in, but I love to race high-speed indoor go-karts here in Jacksonville.
When are you happiest?
I’m definitely happiest when I’m either on a lake or at a NASCAR race.
What would you most like to learn how to do?
A goal of mine is to earn my private pilot’s license. I’ve always dreamed of being able to fly, so I definitely plan on pursuing that one day.
What motivates you to tackle the day?
I always want to find a way to accumulate small wins. Those wins build up over time and will lead to a big win down the road. That mindset helps me focus and effectively get things done.
Thanks, Drew!
