Nicholas Foster recently joined the team as a State Strategist, leading Majority Strategies’ efforts across the state of Louisiana. Prior to joining Majority Strategies, Nicholas served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Foster Global Strategies and continues to serve as Chairman of its board of directors where he oversees the company’s transition from a political consultancy to a strategic public relations behavioral research company. Nicholas began his professional career as a legislative staffer working for the Louisiana State Senate. He has worked and advised on several political campaigns, including serving as a longtime aide to the Majority Leader of the Louisiana State Senate.

The New Orleans area!
Where did you go to school?
I am currently at GW for my Master’s, LSU for my Bachelor’s.
How would you describe yourself?
I am definitely a creative wannabe and a problem solver.
What is the last book you read?
Falling Up by Raymond Strother, plug for another LSU grad.
What is your favorite song?
Southern Nights written by Allen Toussaint, a great New Orleanian.
Who is your favorite president?
Thomas Jefferson was brilliant, but there is no beating George Washington.
What’s the toughest lesson you’ve learned?
Don’t be afraid of failure!
What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
When I was an undergrad, we were able to bring a free speech bill to the state legislature. Though I have been a part of tons of bills and initiatives, this one has a very special place in my heart.
What was your first campaign?
Sharon Hewitt for State Senate (2015 Election)
Best day on the campaign trail?
Election Day. Nothing beats winning.
Tell us about your favorite vacation.
Probably my first trip to London, by far one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
What is your favorite ad of all time?
Ronald Regan’s “It’s Morning Again in America” ad.
What’s on your bucket list?
Hiking the Inca Trail to the top of Machu Picchu.
Favorite meal on the road?
If there is time to sit down, nothing beats the warm yellow glow of a Waffle House.
