#MeetMajority: Patrick Sebastian
Raleigh native and self-proclaimed political junkie Patrick Sebastian takes the spotlight in today’s #MeetMajority.
Before joining the Majority Strategies team as State Strategist for North Carolina and South Carolina, Patrick served as RNC State Director in both North Carolina and New Jersey and worked on campaigns at the gubernatorial, congressional, and presidential levels.
Today, Patrick, his wife, and their daughter call Raleigh home.
Let’s learn more about Patrick Sebastian.
What has been your best day on the campaign trail?
November 6, 2012. That was the day North Carolina elected (only) its third Republican governor in over 100 years.
What are some of the toughest lessons you’ve learned on the campaign trail?
Generally, the media has a much greater ability to define an officeholder or candidate than that officeholder or candidate himself. If media figures have personal disdain for your agenda, even the best public relations machines will lose the battle to frame public perception.
What are some of your favorite eats from your home state?
Definitely Eastern-style barbecue.
What is your favorite thing about where you live?
Raleigh continues to grow and prosper as much as any city in America.
How many cities have you lived in?
I’ve lived in 7 cities across 5 states: Raleigh, North Carolina; Greenville, North Carolina; Rock Hill, South Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina; Boston, Massachusetts; Princeton, New Jersey; and Atlanta, Georgia.
What would you most like to learn how to do?
To be a decent golfer and poker player.
Tell us a little about your family.
My wife, Kristen, and I have a daughter, Katherine Ann, and a dog, Addie.
