Quality vs. Quantity

Majority Strategies partnered with a Micromobility Company to acquire users for their mobility app. Our objective was increased ridership.

Apps are experiencing rapid growth as mobile devices continue to dominate digital screen time.

Installs increased 7% in 2020 as App Store revenue increased 20% worldwide.

The Problem
79% of installs never get opened again just 1 day after installing.1

The Solution
Quality Installs vs. Quantity = Repeat Users.

Majority Strategies partnered with a Micromobility Company to acquire users for their mobility app. Our objective was increased ridership.

We conducted a test campaign in 2 cities, targeting multiple audiences of likely users simultaneously, and reached them across social media, websites, and apps.

We targeted both iOS and Android devices, designed dozens of creative concepts, and implemented complex tracking infrastructure to measure and quantify the results.

The Result
We increased ridership among every audience we engaged.

The individuals who installed the app from our campaign averaged 8.9 rides – nearly 2x more than usual.

Nearly 90% of the installs took at least 3 rides after installing, providing the Micromobility Company with high-quality users to combat retention issues.

This campaign showcases the strategic approach of Majority Strategies to weave together individual insights, actionable data, and compelling advertising to maximize the results for our clients focused on App Installs and Users.
