Meet Strategy Director Steven Aranyi.
Steven is a graduate of Indiana University who now calls Jacksonville home. Prior to joining the Majority Strategies team, Steven served as the Press Secretary for the Indiana University College Republicans as well as a grassroots intern for Trey Hollingsworth for U.S. Congress.
Get to know this Illinois native in this week’s #MeetMajority.
What is the toughest lesson you’ve learned on the campaign trail?
The good guys don’t always win. Always outwork your opponents.
What app can’t you live without?
Twitter. I use it for all of my political and sports news.
What are your favorite eats from your home state?
Portillo’s Italian Beef and Cake Shake. If you’ve been, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Where do you get your news?
Normally via Twitter, through outlets like AP and The Hill. Never from CNN.
Do you have any hobbies?
I collect sports and political autographs. Some of my favorites include President Bush (41) and Bobby Knight.
Why Majority Strategies?
I love winning elections, so this is a great fit for me.
How many cities have you lived in?
Four: Jacksonville, FL, Bloomington, IN (Go Hoosiers), Washington D.C., and Chicago, IL.
What’s on your bucket list?
I’d love to travel to Japan and China one day, among several other countries. I’d also love to go to a UEFA Champions League and World Cup final.
