Before moving to Jacksonville, Florida, to join the Majority Strategies team as a Strategy Director, Robert Frey called Pennsylvania home, where he attended Gettysburg College and earned his B.A. in Political Science and Public Policy. Robert then worked as an intern at Harper Polling, where he gathered research, created polls, and analyzed the data.

If he’s not reading up on the Civil War, you can probably find Robert at the gym training for his next Spartan race.

What app can’t you live without?
I’m addicted to Netflix.

Favorite eats from your home state?
I miss pork rolls (no, it’s not called Taylor Ham). I need to find a bagel shop here in Jacksonville. I miss a nice pork roll sandwich with melted cheese.

Last book you read?
Southern Storm: Sherman’s March to The Sea. It’s very detailed account of Sherman’s march and its political, economic and psychological effects on the South.

Where do you get your news?
I go to the big three: CNN, New York Times, and Fox News.

What’s your favorite time of day? When are you most productive?
I’m most productive at 6:00 AM. I’m a morning person, and I also like to work out. I’m always asked if I had too much coffee, but it’s just my normal energy level.

Name one of your “weird” hobbies or habits.
One of my “weird” habits is when I’m running or doing cardio at the gym I must watch my YouTube playlist of Star Trek space battle scenes playing in front of me. I’ll also listen to the playlist on my way to work or the gym. It keeps me motivated and full of energy to see or hear Captain Sisko, Lorca, Janeway, Picard and their respective crews fighting to save the Federation.

When and where are you happiest?
My happy place for me is to sit on the rocks of Little Round Top at Gettysburg National Military Park. During my childhood, I was introduced to the American Civil War by my father when he brought me to the 145th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. Before going on my first trip, I would spend my time at recess reading about the battle and people who fought there. I could retell the stories during the visit to anyone who asked. For years when visiting and attending college in Gettysburg, I was always found solace on that hill.

Why Majority Strategies?
“We Play to Win” is a motto that I follow every day. I make sure that in some way or another I make sure to win the day.

What’s on your bucket list?
I want to visit every major Civil War battlefield, WWII battlefield in Europe, and every presidential home.

Thanks, Robert!
