Name one of your “weird” hobbies or habits.
One of my weirdest habits has to be the fact that I work in the political world and don’t drink coffee. I’ve only met one other person in politics who doesn’t drink coffee … and now she’s my wife! Don’t worry, though, I still get my caffeine fix by drinking enough Diet Dr. Pepper to flood a small river.
How would your best friend describe you in 3 words?
Fun, athletic and nice.
When and where are you happiest?
I’m happiest when I’m sitting out in my backyard around our fire pit, drinking wine, and hanging out with friends and family.
Why Majority Strategies?
I’ve been fortunate in my career to work with some amazing people both in their professional and personal capacities. Majority Strategies is the next step in that progression. The people here at Majority Strategies are the best at what they do and continually push me to get better.
What’s on your bucket list?
One item on my bucket list is to achieve the certification to skydive solo. I would love the adrenaline rush that would come from jumping out of an airplane solo with just a parachute!
What motivates you to tackle the day?
I love the sense of accomplishment and pride at the end of a day when everything’s been checked off the to-do list and we’ve made a difference for our clients. The to-do list is almost always still full, but the level of service we give our clients each day is second to none.
What’s your favorite thing about where you live?
The climate/weather in Charlotte, North Carolina, is wonderful. Just the right mix of southern warm weather but north enough that it actually has four seasons and a decent winter, which means I have plenty of time to work out the kinks of my imperfect golf swing.
How many cities have you lived in?
Six – Charlotte, NC, Washington, DC, Little Rock, AR, Conway, AR, Chicago, IL, and Greenville, NC.
Thanks, Phil!
