As Chief Executive Officer, Brett Buerck has led Majority Strategies’ growth over the last decade.
Brett is an Ohio native and graduate of The Ohio State University with nearly 15 years of experience in Buckeye State politics, including serving as Communications Director for the Ohio Republican Party, Press Secretary for former Governor Bob Taft and Chief of Staff to the Ohio House of Representatives where he helped the caucus gain its largest majority in 50 years.
In today’s #MeetMajority, get to know Brett.
With a résumé like yours, you must’ve moved around a lot. How many cities have you lived in?
24.
Of course, there’s no place like home. What are your favorite eats from your home state?
It’s tough to choose. I’d have to say it’s a tie between Montgomery Inn BBQ and Graeter’s ice cream. If you’re in Ohio, both spots are worth the drive.
Which three words would your best friend use to describe you?
Impatient, intense and loyal.
When are you happiest?
When I’m skiing or scuba diving. There’s nothing as refreshing as time spent outdoors.
We know you are quite a sports fanatic. What’s your favorite blog?
The MMBQ, Monday Morning Quarterback, is hands-down my favorite, and I couldn’t live without the ESPN app. Between the two, I can keep up with scores and stats even when I’m travelling and have to miss a game.
Speaking of favorites, what’s your favorite song?
Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. I also really like anything by Jay Z, Eminem, Rush or Led Zeppelin.
What is the last book you read?
I just finished Odyssey: Pepsi to Apple: a Journey of Adventure, Ideas, and the Future. It’s written by John Sculley, the man who fired Steve Jobs. I’d recommend adding it to your summer reading list.
We saved the best for last. Tell us about your kids.
I have two daughters, Alex is 13 and Parker is 9. Our Blue French bulldog puppy, Brody, rounds out the family.
