Jason McBride hails from Michigan, which makes for some gentle ribbing around the office with all the Buckeyes on the Majority Strategies team.

Jason joined Majority Strategies after serving as National Deputy Political Director and New Hampshire State Director for the 2012 Romney for President campaign and quickly put his experience at the state, federal and presidential levels to work for our campaigns and clients.

Jason is more than just a strategist. He’s a husband, dad and go-to guy who puts everything into helping clients win.

In today’s #MeetMajority, get to know the Jason McBride we know.

Describe the most important lesson you learned on the campaign trail.

Every single vote counts. In 2000, I was the Political Director on a congressional race that lost on Election Day but went to a recount. That was the same year George W. Bush’s recount was happening as well. After weeks of recounting, we wrapped it up and won by 111 votes on December 23rd.

What motivates you to tackle the day, especially when you’re neck-deep in a recount?

Beating Democrats.

What would you consider your great accomplishment?

That’s an easy one. Convincing my wife, Kate, to marry me.

We hear you’re pretty proud of three other things, too …

Kate and I have three of the cutest kids on the planet: Conner, Ashlyn and Aiden. Playing with them after work is definitely the best part of my day.

What’s on your bucket list?

Mostly travel. I’d love to go to the Winter Olympics, tour Scotland, eat my way through Italy. Oh, and write the next Great American Novel. Dream big, right?

Speaking of books, what is the last one you read?

The Passage of Power: The Years of Lyndon Johnson by Robert Caro. Yes, he was a Democrat but his story is fascinating.

What’s your favorite song? What do you do when you hear it?

Detroit Rock City by Kiss. And I play air guitar, of course. There’s no other acceptable answer.

How would your best friend describe you in three words?

Funny. Reliable. Irreverent.

And finally, why Majority Strategies?

Majority Strategies has a reputation of excellence that is unparalled. We’ve got the best creative and the most experience – there’s really nothing we can’t do.
