In Part 2, we are highlighting infographics and this unique way to present facts and figures in an eye-catching way.
What is an infographic?
An infographic by definition combines “information” and “graphics” to visually present a set of data or facts on a subject.
Infographics are an easy-to-digest visual that takes advantage of people being visual learners to present information in the way our brains best receive it.
What are the keys to a successful infographic?
Design, layout and storytelling are very important to maximizing the impact of an infographic.
Most infographics will be presenting a series of facts as they relate to a bigger message. To do so in a way that is easily understandable, a creative theme is needed that carries the story through from start to finish.
Simple will also be better, as infographics can very quickly become too crowded, too messy and too complicated to be understood.
Colors are important, too. Xerox found that color visuals can improve attention spans and information recall as much as 82%.
