Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Gera is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who worked in the Nebraska State Legislature prior to joining the Majority Strategies team as an Executive Assistant.

Gera has traveled the world and today enjoys exploring her new home, Jacksonville, Florida.

Let’s get to know Gera.

What is your favorite blog?
My favorite blog is “The Daily Tay.”

What has been your best day on the campaign trail?
The night I was part of my first campaign win for a US Senator.

What are your favorite eats from your home state?
Easily Runza. It is a local chain that started in Nebraska. They’re known for their runza sandwich, but my favorite thing from Runza is their cheeseburger and french fries.

Last book you read?
The last book I read was “Long Road Home” by Suk-Young Kim. It’s about a defector from North Korea. It was so intriguing to me because I personally met a defector from North Korea while visiting the DMZ.

Where do you get your news?
Mostly Twitter, however I’m a junky for the mugshot section on my hometown newspaper.

Name one of your “weird” hobbies or habits.
Collecting rocks because it makes me feel grounded.

Why Majority Strategies?
Because “We Play to Win.”

What’s on your bucket list?
One of the top things on my bucket list is to take a sunrise hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia in Turkey.

What’s the best gift/kindest gesture you’ve ever received?
My friends and family threw me a surprise welcome home party. They managed to pull it off without me having a clue what was going on. It was such a great feeling to come back to.

Tell us about your family.
I have a cat named Cleo. My mom, dad, and brother all live in Nebraska, and my sister lives in Dallas with her two girls and husband.

Thanks, Gera!
