In this week’s #MeetMajority, we’re turning the focus to Strategy Director Jared Stimson.

Jared’s career in politics began after earning a degree in History and Philosophy from Bethel College in Indana, Jared’s home state. Today Jared and his wife and two daughters call Los Angeles, California, home, where Jared remains a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, and Newcastle United.

Let’s get started.

What has been your best day on the campaign trail?
Meeting my wife at a campaign event in 2004. Her dad was a candidate for the provincial party I was working for in Alberta, Canada.

What is your favorite campaign tactic?
Funny negative mail that catches the voters’ attention without making them feel negative about our client.

What’s your favorite thing about where you live?
Los Angeles has amazing museums, restaurants, comedy clubs, and live music.

How many cities have you lived in?
I’ve lived in 10 cities in 3 states/provinces: Indiana, Alberta, Canada, and California.

Favorite song?
I’m obsessed with music and own over 900 albums. “It Never Entered My Mind” by The Miles Davis Quintet is what I turn on when I need to relax. The Band, Bob Dylan, and The Grateful Dead are my favorite artists. My two favorite new artists are Joey Dosik and Ruby Friedman Orchestra.

What’s on your bucket list?
I want to travel through Europe and visit historical sites.

If you could travel back to any time period, which would you choose? Why?
As a former history major, there are too many to choose from. The Napoleonic Wars have been one of my recent favorites to study.

Thanks, Jared!
