Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Reid Vineis now lives in sunny Santa Monica, California, where he splits his time between all things mobile as our Director of Mobile Operations and enjoying the best of what Southern California has to offer.

Today’s #MeetMajority gives you the opportunity to get to know Reid a little better.

What’s your favorite campaign tactic?
I like creating well-thought-out voter contact plans that match the right medium to the right target audience. Keep it simple; identify the people you need to talk to and the best way to reach them.

As our Director of Mobile Operations, what’s the one app you can’t live without?
Uber. What a great invention!

How many cities have you lived in?
Six so far. Columbus, OH, Hartford, CT, London, England, Washington, DC, Jacksonville, FL, and Santa Monica, CA.

Out of the six cities you lived in, where do you find your favorite eats?
Buckeyes back in Ohio, of course. They’re a chocolate and peanut butter confection that look like the state tree.

Where do you get your news?
Everywhere and anywhere! Politico, Fox News, NPR, Twitter, local newspapers … the list goes on. It’s safe to say I’m a bit of a news junkie.

How would your best friend describe you in three words?
Focused. Loyal. Funny.

When are you happiest?
Whenever I’m on the water fishing, boating, sailing or swimming. It can be in a lake, river or ocean. I’m not picky.

What’s on your bucket list?
Skydiving. Hopefully that it isn’t what causes me to kick the bucket …

What motivates you to tackle the day?
Election Day. I love that in politics everything culminates into one day where you either win or lose. No other industry has that, which makes politics very unique – just another reason to love it.

Finally, why Majority Strategies?
From my first day in politics, I learned there is no other firm like Majority Strategies. I’ve always been impressed by the creativity, speed and work that comes out of this company, and now I’m a part of it.

Thanks, Reid.
