Looking back through our 18 years of experience, we’re proud of how far we’ve come to lead the political advertising industry today.
All that looking back got us thinking about beginnings, and we asked one of our long-time designers, Karley, how she got her start in graphic design:
“I always wanted to be an artist. I would draw all the time when I was little, sitting at my dad’s desk drawing for hours on end. There was even a time in elementary school when I would sell my drawings to my classmates for a quarter.
“It wasn’t until my senior year in high school that I began to get serious about my art. Instead of sports, I took my first drawing class. That led to my first web design class. Before I knew it, I was applying to art schools. While I was in college, I didn’t think I’d be happy in a desk job, but the more I got into graphic design, the more I simply fell in love with it.
“That’s why I enjoy working at Majority Strategies so much. I find every day is a challenge and a new opportunity to design an intense Photoshop compilation or a cutting-edge design layout or mobile ad. I like being part of a team that produces some of our industry’s most complex creative. Now I don’t mind working behind a desk.
“In fact, I love it.”
